SUPERVISOR’S TITLE: Director, Quality Assurance & Director, Human Resources



PURPOSE OF POSITION:  The Training Manager’s primary responsibilities are to work directly with the Director of Quality, Director of Human Resources, executives, and supervisors to identify training requirements and develop plans for training new and existing employees.  Additionally, this role will be responsible for designing, establishing and executing on learning opportunities for our employees and our customers that will help achieve desired personal growth and performance outcomes.

The work scope includes designing curriculum, helping to solve business challenges through developing learning strategies, managing the analysis, design, development, and evaluation of
onboarding, foundational, and certification programs.






  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Learning and Development, Business Administration, Education, or relevant field. 
  • 5 years or more in a Training Manager role.



  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Learning and Development, Business Administration, Education, or relevant field. 
  • 10 years or more in a Training Manager role in a Medical Device or Pharma company.
  • CPLP and/or CPTM certified.  Experience with Success Factors Learning Management software system.

  • Actively seek current training methods and best practices to facilitate training employees.
  • Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior management and other departments.
  • Strong project management and program management (analysis, design, development, evaluation) of training programs a must.
  • Proven track record of comprehensive development, editing, and reviewing of training content to support classroom, e-learning, on-the-job, and video training.
  • Responsive, Accessible, Organized, Results and solutions oriented, Keen attention to detail.
  • Highly proficient at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.



Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to constantly operate a computer and other office equipment, such as printer/telephone.
  • Ability to lift and lower boxes of documents or handle equipment weighing up to 25 lbs.



  • Develop, design, and deliver technology-based learning, including eLearning, video, classroom, on-the-job training (OJT), mentoring, job shadowing.
  • Identify and assess future and current training needs through job analysis, career paths, annual performance appraisals and consultation with managers.
  • Create printed and instructional materials to be distributed during training.
  • Collect information from senior management and other departments regarding how well employees retain information and use the concepts learned in training courses.
  • Develop, maintain, and administer tests after the completion of training courses to determine the effectiveness of training strategies.
  • Manage costs for all programs, productions, and publications in order to report to organization executives regarding a return on investment.
  • Develop standardized training reports by department, supervisor, and content to demonstrate on-time training compliance for the organization.
  • Interface with FDA, Notified Body, and Customers to explain the training processes and procedures governing the business.
  • Keep current on the activities and needs of that industry by attending regular meetings, conferences, and seminars.
  • Occasionally, as budget permits, work with outside vendors to facilitate and develop Quality System and Business Process learning that is simplified, interactive, and retained by employees.
