QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED and technical certificate
- 4 years’ experience in automated assembly including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components
Preferred:
- Experience with SAP or other similar electronic systems
- GMP and Clean Room experience
Skills & Competencies:
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot industrial controls (PLC, servo drive, HMI), pneumatics, and robotics
- Ability to troubleshoot vision systems
- Ability to read and understand electrical and pneumatic drawings and schematics
- Quickly adapts to a diverse array of changing needs, conditions, priorities, or opportunities
- Ability to achieve productivity goals and targets to meet department goals with little guidance
- Ability to stay focused on tasks, apply learned skills/training on the job, understand job responsibilities organize, compare, interpret data, analyze problems, and troubleshoot solutions with guidance
- Strong ability to collaborate and maintain cooperative work relationships
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time
- Ability to constantly operate a computer and other office equipment, such as printer, telephone, etc.
- Ability to work flexible hours and shifts
- Position requires being physically present on the premises during regular company hours or as approved by management
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensures equipment is set up and operates in a safe manner
- Ensures that equipment is maintained in line with cGMP and 5S standards
- Complies with all PPE requirements and coaches and supports all employees’ adherence
- Communicate and coordinate production/automation issues with next shift automation
- Responsible for communicating daily assembly issues to direct Supervisor
- Documents any malfunctions or abnormalities per company guidelines
- Postproduction to enterprise resource planning (ERP) system and update logs as required
- Provides input to engineering staff on areas for machine improvements
- Complies technical information to provide to more senior Automation Technicians, Maintenance Technicians, Manufacturing Engineers, and Quality Team
- Performs diagnostic troubleshooting activities on assembly automation equipment
- Makes mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic repairs to assembly automation equipment
- Supports equipment failure analysis, repairs, and scheduled preventative maintenance on robotic and automated equipment
- Assists in installing new automated equipment and in moving equipment to new locations
- Keeps accurate and compliant reports of all activities performed on each piece of equipment
- Provides coverage and perform the duties of a Manufacturing Assembly Technician
- Maintains spare parts inventory
- Participates in Shift-to-shift hand-off and review of production performance utilizing dashboard(s)
- Ensures that documentation practices are in compliance with cGMP requirements
